I've been meaning to write.......

Wow......it has been a long time since I posted to my blog.  And why am I posting now, you ask?  I was in Glacier on Friday and was talking to a nice lady, Roxanne Johnson, who is a flagger and has been working in Glacier Park on the re-construction of the "Going-to-the-Sun" road for 17 years.  I took her picture back in 2011 on opening day that year, and I told her I would find it and send it to her.  I had to go to the blog to find that photo, and it reminded me what a great tool a blog was -- if only to keep my personal history and love for the west documented. 

Facebook seems to have taken over the reason I started the blog in the first place -- to keep up with my family and share photos of my travels out west.  In fact, the blog actually turned into more of a "travel-log" as time went on.  I love Montana, I love sharing what Montana has to offer with my friends, and I LOVE my photography.  So the blog seemed a natural.

So while I am NOT the world's best writer (by far) -- my sister, Gail, is actually the one who got the writing genes in our family (although my brother Dave seems to be the funniest) -- I think I will start making more entries in the blog and putting more pictures out here than Facebook.  I see from a new "button" I had to push on Facebook, that they want access to all my pictures.  So maybe the blog is a safer place.
